Global eyewear retailer Oakley commissioned this underground showroom interior inside Vousden’s Opticians in the historic city of Bath, south west England.
All the storage needed to be entirely free-standing due to the fully sealed damp proof membrane lining the walls of this part of the underground retail space.
Custom illuminated storage cabinets were created with branded display capsules comprising of invisible security mechanisms.
Using metal perforated sheeting with under lighting for the main display shelf, and then orange edge lit LED forms in 20mm frosted acrylic to separate the displays, we had to hand shape each piece to fit the curved walls. Pistons and stays add further industrial detail to the cabinets.
