What is a Tempus?
Tempus is Ben Rousseau's signature collection of light art timepieces. Rather than conventional hands, 132 illuminated segments represent the time using a beautiful pattern of building light.
How do you read the time on a Tempus?
The inner ring has 12 segments, lit to mark the current hour. The middle ring has 60 segments that fill in turn for the minutes, then clear on the hour. The outer ring builds second by second once a minute.
Where is Tempus made?
Every Tempus is designed and crafted in Britain and individually built to order, with an Italian made circuit board and USA made LEDs.
Can I change the colours and patterns?
Yes. The Tempus RGB light engine has 15 preset colour patterns, and the Tempus control app for Apple iOS and Android lets you personalise the colours and patterns and set the time zone.
What sizes are available?
Editions range from 510 mm and 710 mm diameter for the Obsidian to 1010 mm for the Aviator. Custom sizes and finishes are available.
