Designer Ben Rousseau is valued for his creativity as a lighting artist and experience with ice carving.
He was invited to join an international team of high profile global ice artists by Ice Hotel, to create a unique catwalk show for Chanel at their annual Fashion show inside the prestigious Grand Palais in Paris.
The show comprised of over 20 x 40 ft trucks of a special mix of snow and ice called ‘snice.’ Ben and the team spent two weeks in an elaborate giant refrigerated structure that was lowered in with cranes each day to build a giant iceberg catwalk, which sat in a very shallow pool of water for the models to walk around and in between.
With a personal visit from the legend Karl Largerfeld himself.
