Ben Rousseau teamed up with a life-long friend and designer, Stuart Farrelly, to create the piece titled “Levitating Cube.”
The structure was made from timber and straw, incorporating a central hanging cube attached from a steel cable inside a giant square criss cross structure.
Designed for the annual World FireSculpture competition, the piece was entered on behalf of the UK. When lit, the structure looked like a burning floating cube suspended inside a geometric framework. We nearly came first!
