The brief was to create a series of functional furniture pieces for entertaining on the client’s new cantilevered decking which protrudes from the rear of the house into the private woodland behind the house.
We started with the hero dining table using sapele on top of granite cladding and stainless steel frame to create a giant tendon detail found in traditional woodworking joinery. Spaced with stainless steel washers and hidden threaded rods then capped off and finished smooth.
A green oak garden swing structure was created for lounging at the opposite end.
